The Renge ramen shop is conceived with a strong street-inspired spirit, creating a clear distinction from conventional ramen restaurants while boldly expressing a fusion of Vietnamese and Japanese street cultures. The core design idea originates from the iconic plastic stool—a familiar and symbolic element of Vietnamese street food culture. This image is explored throughout the space: the stools are integrated into the ceiling system and reinterpreted as seating elements within the restaurant, creating a deliberate sense of repetition. By increasing the “presence” of this object across multiple spatial layers, the design achieves a strong visual impact while clearly articulating the project’s street manifesto, where familiar elements are redefined within a new context—youthful, expressive, and rich in Vietnamese–Japanese cultural crossover.
